Size – Inside diameter, outside diameter, and length of the assembly.
Temperature – Maximum and minimum temperature of the media being conveyed.
Application – The conditions of use, abrasion, climate, heat, flexing, exposure, routing, degrees of bending.
Media – Composition of the substance being conveyed and the chemical compatibility with the hose.
Pressure – Hose assembly working pressure, including pressure spikes and surges.
